Police in Islamabad on Monday secured the release of an employee of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) besides arresting his two captors, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Mir Fakhar, a muharrar in the FIA, had been kidnapped from the jurisdiction of Sumbal police station of the federal capital.

Police said those arrested were Saad and Hamza.

The former was an FIA employee who had been dismissed from service on corruption charges, the police explained.

Giving further details, the Force said that after kidnapping the muharrar, the suspects took him to the Agency’s Banking Circle’s treasury where they stole millions of rupees and also snatched the treasury’s keys from him.
