March 10, 2020 01:45 PM

Dr Adnan – the personal physician of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif – was injured in London, when unidentified masked men attacked him.

According to details, Dr Adnan was having a daily evening walk when the two masked attackers hit him from behind. They punched him to the ground and hit him with metal rods.

As a result, Dr Adnan sustained injuries on his head, face and chest. However, the attackers managed to flee the scene.

Hussain Nawaz confirmed the reports, while the London police said that they had received a complaint about the assault.

In his reaction, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif said such cowardly acts would not damage the morale of party leaders and workers. He added that the attack was aimed at creating hurdles in the treatment of Nawaz Sharif.

Shehbaz asked the party workers to remain calm, saying the police had been informed about the incident for necessary action.

On the other hand, sources say that Dr Adnan had been receiving threating calls for the last several many weeks.

A spokesman for the Sharif family said that Dr Adnan had received several threatening calls on his number. “We reserve our right to respond to assaults of such nature within the legal bounds.”
