Widespread rains predicted from tomorrow

The Pakistan Meteorological Office in an advisory has informed that another strong westerly is likely to enter in Pakistan on Tuesday evening that will yield more rains for two to three days (from Wednesday to Friday).
Under the influence of this weather system, widespread rain/wind thunderstorm with (snowfall over the hills) is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad and Punjab from Wednesday to Friday.
Hailstorm is also expected at few places during this period.
According to the Met Office says the weather will remain dry in Punjab on Tuesday. However, rains are expected northern Balochistan and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while some areas of south Punjab and upper Sindh may also receive rain.
Rain wind-thunderstorm (with isolated heavy falls) is also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Pashin, Harnai, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Panjgur, Ziarat, Kalat and Mastung from Tuesday (evening) to Thursday.
More rains are also expected in Sindh’s districts including Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur and Shaheed Benazirabad on Tuesday (evening) and Wednesday. A dust storm is also expected in lower Sindh including Karachi during the period.
Heavy rain with intermittent thundershowers is also expected in Kashmir, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan and Faisalabad districts on Wednesday and Thursday.
Heavy rainfall can generate flash flooding and may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan from Wednesday (night) to Friday.
The Met Office has advised the authorities to take precautionary measures to avoid any loss of life/damage to property.
