President, PM to host separate dinners for coalition MPs ahead of key legislation in Parliament

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host two separate dinners for coalition members of the Senate and the National Assembly today ahead of key legislation in Parliament.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Chief Ministers, Governors, members of the federal cabinet and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) parliamentarians will attend the dinner hosted by President Zardari.
At the dinner, President Zardari will take dinner participants into confidence on important issues especially the new legislation in the parliament.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also set to host a dinner for members of Parliament from coalition parties today, as important legislation is expected to be discussed in Parliament this week.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, during the dinner, the Prime Minister will brief the parliamentarians on the current economic situation and the proposed legislative measures.
In addition to the discussions on economic matters, the government is also considering bringing forward a constitutional reform package, which may include proposals to increase the number of judges.
The sources said the Prime Minister has extended an invitation to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) to participate in the dinner, though JUI-F has yet to decide whether it will attend.
