PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday described the way the cash assistance was being distributed among the deserving people as alarming.
Shehbaz said the news about the death of a woman in Multan while collecting assistance was saddening, as he asked the government to immediately adopt a better strategy to distribute cash and ration among the citizens.
He was addressing a meeting of PML-N leaders via video link during they paid glowing tributes to Raja Ashfaq Sarwar who breathed his last earlier in the day.
The PML-N president said the healthcare workers – including doctors and nurses – were fighting a war for the existence of Pakistan and its citizens.
He said AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider deserved applause for establishing a special hospital to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier in a tweet, Shehbaz said Raja Ashfaq stood by the party like a rock, no matter what the circumstances were.
Grieved to learn about the sad demise of Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, a senior PMLN leader & longtime companion of Quaid Nawaz Sharif. He stood by the party like a rock, no matter what the circumstances were. May Allah Almighty rest his soul in peace! My condolences to his family.
