With only 100 days left for the Women’s World Cup 2023 to kick off in New Zealand and Australia, organizers have predicted a record-breaking ticket sale of 1.5 million.

A total of 650,000 tickets have already been sold before they could start the final phase of the sale.

FIFA already declared that Women’s World Cup 2023 will be the biggest and best in history.

The event is all set to begin in July. The competition will span for two months with 32 teams.

The number of teams has increased from 24 to 32 as well as the prized money which FIFA President Gianni Infantino has pledged to be more than US $150 million.

This amount is three times more than the Women’s World Cup 2019.

During the 2023 FIFA Congress, Gianni Infantino said, “It’s a women’s year.  A celebration of football, a celebration of women’s football, a celebration of progress, a celebration of equality. A feast for everyone.

“It will not be tarnished by any other topic. Today, embarking on a historic journey for women’s football and for equality. This will lead us on a path to equal pay.”
