Pakistan coronavirus positivity ratio soars to 7.15pc

As the second wave of Covid-19 surged in Pakistan, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Friday said that the country's national positivity ratio for coronavirus has surged to 7.15 percent.
According to the latest data, as of December 11, the highest positivity ratio was observed in Karachi 18.43%, followed by Mirpur 14.29% and Peshawar 11.68%.
The number of critical patients is rising fast in Pakistan as 2,538 Covid patients are in critical condition across the country.
The positivity ratio in various federating units was: AJK 7.74%, Balochistan 12.85%, GB 1.22%, Islamabad 4.81%, KP 8.10%, Punjab 3.89% and Sindh 12.27%.
The province-wise Covid positivity ratio was: Punjab cities: Lahore 5.36%, Rawalpindi 6.75%, Faisalabad 4.18%, Multan 2.57%, Gujranwala 1.28%. Sindh cities: Karachi 18.43%, Hyderabad 6.47%. KP cities: Peshawar 11.68%, Swat 7.25%, Abbottabad 7.80%. Balochistan cities: Quetta 8.19%. Islamabad 4.81%. AJK cities: Mirpur 14.29%, Muzaffarabad 8.29%. GB cities: Gilgit 2.13%.
