Dozens of ‘Dollar Smugglers’ arrested from KP, Hawala shops sealed

The government has taken strict measures to stop the smuggling of dollars keeping in view the continuous increase in the value of the dollar which has profound effects on the country's economy.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, law enforcement agencies conducted operations in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
The channel report said that during the operation, the law forces arrested dozens of people involved in dollar smuggling.
During the operation, the government agencies also sealed several shops and private places involved in the dollar smuggling through the illegal way of Hawala and Hundi.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials confirmed that foreign and Pakistani currency worth millions of rupees have also been recovered from the arrested smugglers.
The FIA officials said that all possible steps will be taken to stop the smuggling of dollars as the government is trying to stabilize the economy by stopping the smuggling of dollars.
