Hamza Firdous, the elder son of veteran actor Firdous Jamal and occasional actor, took to his Instagram official account yesterday and shared the heartbreaking news that his father actor Firdous Jamal was diagnosed with cancer and he is currently undergoing cancer treatment in Lahore’s Shuakat Khanum Hospital. 

He also requested his fans to pray for the quick recovery of the father. 

He wrote:  “My father is going into a Cancer recovery treatment at Shaukat Khanum. I know... its life! But nothing to worry about because we (his family) and you all (his dearest friends, work colleagues, fans, admirers, and well-wishers) are here for him. He became an actor against all odds, here’s to another battle but luckily the odds are in his favor inshallah he will come out stronger. Please remember him and us in your prayers!”

Pertinent to note that Firdous Jamal is a veteran Pakistani television, theatre, stage and film actor. He has acted in at least 300 TV plays, 150 stage plays, 200 radio plays and 50 films, with his work consisting in all the languages of Pakistan.
