Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Captain (retd) Safdar on Sunday expressed confidence that Mian Nawaz Sharif, with his experience, could steer the country out of the challenging situations as he had done before, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

He emphasized the importance of free and fair elections for the progress of Pakistan. He reiterated Mian Nawaz Sharif's stance against alleged electoral malpractices, asserting that he does not believe in stolen elections.

The PML-N leader also pointed out the impact of historical events, such as Ghulam Ishaq Khan's dissolution of the assembly in the nineties, suggesting that the country's economic trajectory could have been different.

Capt (r) Safdar emphasized the visibility of the PML-N attributing it to the party's four decades of dedicated service to the nation.

Reflecting on the political journey of Nawaz Sharif, he mentioned the challenges faced by the former Prime Minister, including periods of confinement in Attock Fort and Adiala Jail.
