Eidul Azha is just around the corner and even the police constables of Karachi can’t contain their excitement regarding the Bakra Eid, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
While there might be other urgent issues that the police of Karachi have to dwell upon, a few police officers made a trip to Soldier Bazaar and bought a goat, ‘bakra’.
If you require facts regarding Eidul Azha, this is a very prominent festival which is celebrated in the Muslim community also referred as the ‘festival of sacrifice’. Bakra Eid extends for a period of three days whereas animals are sacrificed ritually.
After buying the goat from Soldier Bazaar, constables loaded the ‘bakra’ on the police mobile van and also made sure that their sacrificial animal had a nice time while it went out and about in the patrol van.
Another interesting occurrence which took place while the goat was loaded onto the government vehicle was that a proper arrangement of fodder was also available for the goat to munch on.
While government vehicle was being used for police officials’ personal activities, local citizens were not allowed to make a video of the ‘shock-provoking’ incident as they were restricted by the policemen.
