As Balochistan has been lashed with unexpectedly heavy rainfall, the water level is rising dangerously in the Hub Dam triggering an alarm that it might overflow if it receives more water, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Reportedly, the water level in the dam is increasing constantly as it has reached 11 feet just 5.6 ft below to fill it to the brim.
The chief engineer water board has said that since the reservoir has got enough water, now Karachi will be supplied with 100 million gallons of water per day (MGD) for three years.
On the other hand, the Winder River is also in high flood and the floodwater has entered several villages.
The district administration, Edhi people, Levies Force and local people are taking part in the rescue operation in the affected villages.
The rescuers have saved 30 people in Madina colony and rescued 80 stranded people in Sanwal Goth.
Lasbela Deputy Commissioner Iftikhar Bugti said that the Levies men had safely evacuated people stuck in the Anwar Rind Goth. He informed that as many as 500 people were rescued stuck in Sir Mastani Mohallah due to flashflood.
