Govt notifies increase in salary and pension

 The federal government has issued a notification announcing an increase in the salaries and pensions of public sector employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

This notification fulfills the government’s promise as it has announced an increase in salary and pensions for government employees in the budget FY 2024-25.  

According to the notification, there will be a 25% increase in the salaries of employees from grades 1 to 16, while those in grades 17 to 22 will receive a 20% increase.

These salary hikes will be provided in the form of an ad-hoc relief allowance.

However, the notification specified that the ad-hoc relief allowance would not apply to employees posted abroad.

Additionally, retired employees will see a 15% increase in their pensions.

The Ministry of Finance issued this notification to address the financial needs of public sector employees and retirees, aiming to provide relief amidst rising living costs and inflation.
