Pakistan stands 18th in FIH’s latest ranking

Pakistan has come down one point further in Fédération Internationale de Hockey’s (FIH) latest ranking as now it stands at 18th, instead of 17th position, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Giving reason for the decline, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Asif Bajwa told the media this was because of the suspension of international hockey competitions because of Covid-19.
He, however, hoped that with the resumption of international matches, team Pakistan would get an opportunity to improve its ranking.
He further said that PHF was fully prepared to improve the country’s ranking once international hockey matches resumed.
