Sheikh Waqas Akram, a popular political figure from Jhang and a former federal minister of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Saturday joined the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He made the announcement during his meeting with former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Speaking at the occasion, Akram expressed his complete trust in the PTI leadership.   

He also announced his wholehearted support for the party’s ‘Haqeeqi Azadi’ or real freedom movement and its manifesto.  

Imran welcomed Sheikh Waqas Akram’s decision to join the PTI.
