Pakistan adds 1,476 new coronavirus cases

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases jumped to 30,941 after the addition of another 1,476 during the past 24 hours, the figures released by National Command and Control Centre showed on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, 28 people died to coronavirus during the same period, meaning that the death toll has now climbed to 667.

With more people recovering from the virus, the active cases in the country currently stand at 22,062, as the number of recoveries has increased to 8,212.

As far testing is concerned, 11,367 tests were conducted during the past 24 hours after which the total has reached 294,894.

The most number of cases are reported from Punjab where the current total stands at 11,568. It is followed by Sindh 11,480, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 4,669, Balochistan 2,017, Islamabad 679, Gilgit-Baltistan 442 and Azad Kashmir 86.

On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to top the list of most number of deaths. The latest figures for the province is 245 followed by Punjab 197, Sindh 189, Balochistan 26, Islamabad six and Gilgit-Baltistan four.
