PM has decided to regularise poultry sector, says Firdous

Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had decided to regularise the poultry sector in Pakistan. 

According to 24NewsHD TV Channel, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the poultry sector has become a mafia in Pakistan and it needed much to control by regularization of it.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the poultry mafia had a political backing behind them but after the regularization of it, prices of poultry items would not be decided on WhatsApp now.

Keeping in view the game of poultry mafia to fix the prices, the PM has decided to regularize the sector and a bill would be introduced in the parliament, Special Assistant to CM said.

Pakistani poultry industry’s turnover is around RS1082 billion and more than 1.5 million people are attached to it but it is still an unorganized sector. There are more than 15,000 poultry farms across the country and average capacity of farms from 5,000 to 15,000 broilers. Its annual growth rate is 12 percent.
