Former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani has strongly condemned Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, residential area of Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa Mosque, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Raza Rabbani said the brutal attacks of Israel had taken the lives of dozens of Palestinians including innocent children. He said the Israeli forces were committing genocide of Palestinians. He said the silence of the Western world on the brutal attacks depicted their dual standards regarding human rights and religious freedom.

Referring to a picture of an arrested young Palestinian girl which went viral, Raza Rabbani said the morale of the Palestinian nation was high as could be seen on the smiling face of the young girl.

Raza Rabbani questioned why the Western parliaments were silent on the issue. He said the Muslim world and the PTI government just paid lip-service in this regard. The Muslim countries should have pressed Israel through United Nations Security Council, he said.

He was of the view that the Muslim countries should play their due role in mobilizing the human rights organizations and economic sanctions on Israel. He said today the developing nations needed a leader like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He said the joint statement of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia talked about the Kashmir Issue but it did not mention the UN resolutions. He said the Pakistani nation was standing with the innocent Kashmiris and Palestinians.
