Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin called upon Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
Measures to cement bilateral relations and other important issues came under discussion during the meeting.
The two sides agreed on concerted efforts to curb human trafficking.

Naqvi said Pakistan will send skilled manpower to Italy.
He added the agreement to stop human trafficking will be finalized soon.
A proposal to give sister-cities status to Milan and Islamabad was also floated.
Mohsin Naqvi said a crackdown on human trafficking is on in Pakistan as Islamabad adopted a zero-tolerance policy against human smugglers.
Those who go to Italy illegally will not only have to go to jail but also lose money, he said, adding that the FIA has been ordered to swoop down on human traffickers.
The ambassador praised the interior minister’s steps to prevent human trafficking.
Naqvi congratulated Ms Ermelin on taking charge of the ambassador and extended good wishes.
