Former prime minister Imran Khan has called on his supporters to end road blockade, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

“As our Long March for Haqeeqi Azadi has resumed once again, I am calling on all our workers to end their road blockades with immediate effect,  the PTI chief tweeted.

The PTI chief has been leading a long march to the federal capital, Islamabad, to mount pressure on the government for holding snap polls. The march was halted last week after a gun attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad, inviting ire among his supporters who blocked roads across the country.

Since his ouster in a no-confidence vote in Parliament in April, Khan has alleged that his ouster was a conspiracy engineered by his successor, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and the US. Washington denied any wrongdoing.
