Civil society stages protest for rights of transgender 

Civil society Tuesday staged a protest for the rights of the transgender community outside the Karachi Press Club, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Carrying the banners and placards inscribed with their demands, the members of the civil society were raising slogans to press the government for their rights.

According to the sources, a transgender named Shehzadi Rai spoke up for her community rights and said the transgender bill is all about their basic rights.

She further said that a negative impression was created due to which the accused was murdered and Jamaat-e-Islami is all responsibility for this murder. She gave the reason that the accused had been murdered after the statements given by Jamaat-e-Islami.

Transgender are those who were not accepted by their parents, family as well as society whereas, if they are getting some of their basic rights then why is this society against them?
