Staffer rescued from private jail in Karachi

Police have secured the release of a chained man detained at a private jail in the Sindh capital, 24NewsHD TV channel reported. 

On a tip-off, the Tipu Sultan Police conducted a raid and secured the release of a private employee.

The detainee was being subjected to torture on Rs 500,000 theft charges for the past 10 days.

The police took action at the request of the victim's father. 

According to police officials, no one is allowed to take the law into hands and such acts are unacceptable.

The law will take its course, they added.
