Cynthia Ritchie speaks in support of Pakistani women

US blogger Cynthia Ritchie has called upon the law enforcement institutions in Pakistan to ensure the safety and protection of women, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing newsmen outside a court in Islamabad on Friday, Cynthia said “They have come to the Supreme Court to get justice.”
Cynthia Ritchie said she has hired Advocate Saiful Malook for her case against Senator Rehman Malik being heard in the Supreme Court.

She and Advocate Malook visited the court to submit papers regarding the case. “Saiful Malook had represented Aasia Bibi successfully,” she added.
She told newsmen that it’s misunderstanding that she had kept quiet for so long about the sexual harassment. “I contacted FBI and American Embassy. When it comes to your family you have to take some steps for its protection,” she explained.
She said she has not worked with any institution in Pakistan except ISPR, the Pakistani military’s media wing.
“The people who sexually assault women must be given heavy punishment. Everyone has equal rights whether it’s a woman, man or a transgender,” she said.
