The coronavirus has been diagnosed in 12 doctors, six paramedics and other medical staff at Nishtar Hospital in Multan.
All the people and staff who came in contact with these doctors and paramedics have been into isolation and quarantine centres.
Nishtar Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Mustafa Kamal told BBC that tests of some doctors and medical staff had come as positive. He said the medical staff did not show any symptoms at all of the illness and now they have been shifted to Tayep Erdogan Hospital.
Vice-Chancellor Nishtar Medical University said decisions will be made at a meeting for the next step, such as how to clear the hospital from the virus. He said duty doctors, paramedics and 60 other people were tested there.
The medical staff had been treating a suspected COVID-19 patient who had a lung disease. The patient died later and his results came back positive for the virus.
There are 83 doctors and the 111 paramedic staff with confirmed COVID-19 cases across the country, BBC reported. Doctors have been demanding personal protective equipment (PPEs) for the paramedics treating the coronavirus patients.
