PM invites allies on farewell dinner tonight, will discuss interim setup with them

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has summoned an important meeting of his allies tonight in connection with the appointment of interim premier, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Sources revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called an important huddle of his erstwhile coalition government partners to confer on the issue of caretaker setup. He invites the Pakistan Democratic Movement leaders on a farewell dinner.
According to sources, invites have been sent to former president and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and PDM and JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Besides them, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Khalid Magsi, Sajid Mir, Awais Noorani, Aimal Wali Khan, Abdul Malik Baloch and Aftab Sherpao will also participate in the farewell dinner hosted by the prime minster.
The prime minister will hold consultation with his allies regarding the caretaker prime minister. After conferring with them, he will take into confidence the opposition leader on the proposed name.
Before the huddle, JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will hold a valedictory meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with his other party leaders.
Sources said that PM Shehbaz cancelled his Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral visit due to his scheduled meeting with the opposition leader.
Prime Minister Shehbaz and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Raja Riaz will meet again today to finalize the name for the coveted slot of interim prime minister.
They also met yesterday but did not reach the consensus on the name of the caretaker premier. It is expected that they will agree on the name today.
