ECP declares new affidavit mandatory with nomination papers for all candidates

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday declared the new affidavit mandatory along with the nomination papers to be submitted for all the candidates, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In the new affidavit, all the details of the dependents are to be given along with the details of assets and properties owned by the dependents.

The details of the performance as members of assemblies were also demanded in the affidavit.

It also demanded that the candidate should not have dual citizenship. The candidates will also have to provide the details of the funds donated and received to and from the associated party in the affidavit.

The affidavit is to be in effect immediately.
