In a bid to seek a political patch-up with the government and resolve legal cases against party workers, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has appointed Omar Ayub Khan as the chairman of the negotiation committee, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Thursday.
According to sources, Imran Khan has granted Omar Ayub full authority for negotiations, including powers typically reserved for the party chairman.
Sources also revealed that PTI founder Imran Khan instructed Omar Ayub to allow Barrister Gohar to remain active in the judicial commission while Omar Ayub focuses on political decisions.
The sources further stated that Omar Ayub will play a pivotal role in resolving cases against PTI workers and easing political tensions with the government.
Omar Ayub is expected to engage with the government through parliamentary forums for negotiations, according to party insiders.
The PTI negotiation committee also includes Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Asad Qaiser, Salman Akram Raja, and Shibli Faraz.
