Pakistan Red Ball Team Head Coach Jason Gillespie has parted ways with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
Sources said Aqib Javed will replace Jason Gillespie as the head coach of the national team for the tour of South Africa.
The Test squad will leave for South Africa tomorrow. The first match between Pakistan and South Africa will start in Centurion on December 26.
Before the Test series, the national team will have a pre-series camp in South Africa.
The source said that Jason Gillespie is unhappy with the board as the latter did not extend Tim Nelson's contract, adding that Jason Gillespie brought Tim Nelson with him.
