Though the different factions of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have become united differences in political strategy among leaders are exposed in the first media conference and sitting on Thursday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, MQM Restoration Committee chief Farooq Sattar while addressing the press conference tried to give a policy statement regarding quitting the federal government but MQM-Pakistan Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stopped him to do so.
Farooq Sattar became emotional at the press conference when he was asked if there was a compulsion to stay in the PDM's government, he advised his newly united party to quit the federal government.
On this occasion, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui immediately interrupted him and said to him, "Don't give a policy statement right now."
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui made a good attempt to control and twisted the matter by saying that the same situation is facing the federal government as is happening to MQM.
Anyhow, political analysts said the disagreement on the occasion of the declaration of unity is not a good sign as this thing gives an impression that principled issues have not been settled before sitting together.
