TV anchor Ayesha Jehanzeb opens up about painful marriage and father’s behaviour

Anchor Ayesha Jehanzeb who is currently making headlines on social media for sharing her painful domestic abuse story, recently appeared in a podcast and talked about her tough life.

She also opened up about the failure of her first marriage and her father’s behavior who disowned her.

Talking about it, she said, “I got married at a very young age. It was a love marriage. We were the most famous couple in our friend’s community, people used to call us Saif and Kareena. We were a perfect couple. He was Rajpoot, I belonged to an Araain family but that marriage failed badly.

"After two days, I got to know that he was an alcoholic. I didn’t know about it, we were kids when we fell for each other. I got married at 22, and at 24 I knew that it was the biggest mistake of my life. He was interested in someone else too. Well, I still love him, he’s now dead but still, I have feelings for him, I had to forgive him so that he would be at peace”.

Ayesha further added, “Jehanzeb gave me three beautiful kids. He passed away when I was twenty-seven or thirty. I didn’t know that he was suffering from cancer because we were apart. It was the 4th stage of cancer. My in-laws didn’t tell me about it, it was the doctor who called me and told me about his situation and asked me to be good with him as he was about to go.

At that time, I decided to contact my father and I complained to him that just because of his absence in my life, I found security in the very first person I knew. I also asked him to meet Jehanzeb for the last time after which he demanded a grand announcement function from me. It was unbearable, at that time I gave up on my father and informed him that he wouldn’t be able to see Jehanzeb in his life and the same happened and Jehanzeb passed away.

"I was literally unconscious after Jehanzeb’s burial when people took me to a man and asked me to meet, it was my father. I cried my heart out and forgave him, I had to forgive him. If I could forgive my husband, I could do the same to my father”.

Prominent TV anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb is a brilliant Pakistani host turned actress.

She was physically tortured by her husband at gunpoint in Lahore’s cantonment area. The talented host reached the police station in Lahore where she filed an FIR against her husband Haris Ali.

According to the FIR, Ayesha Jahanzeb alleged that she was subjected to violence by her husband at gunpoint. After a medical examination and consultation, Ayesha registered a case against her husband Haris under the provisions of torture and murder. Ayesha told the police that after manhandling she sustained serious injuries, which prompted her to seek legal recourse, she stated. Ayesha claimed that her husband often tortured her.

Ayesha Jehanzeb’s painful story created a buzz on social media and it became a high-profile case that was also noticed by government officials including Hina Pervaiz Butt and Sania Aashiq.

Ayesha Jehanzeb reported that her husband was secretly married and when she interrogated her husband, he hit her badly after which she got injured.
