Army soldier martyred in North Waziristan gunbattle

An Army soldier was martyred in a gunbattle with terrorists in North Waziristan District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the fire exchange between Army troops and the terrorists took place in general area Datta Khel area of North Waziristan District.
Army troops fought bravely and effectively engaged the location of the terrorists.
The ISPR statement, however, said during the intense exchange of fire 25-year-old Sepoy Shahzaib Imtiaz, resident of Kotli Sattian, having fought gallantly embraced Shahadat (martyrdom).
An area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the region, the ISPR statement concluded.

Grenade attack
Unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade at a police party in Bajaur district on Saturday injuring two cops who were later provided medical treatment.
