The Federal Cabinet Wednesday approved the Finance Bill for the fiscal year 2024-25, sources report, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

Following this approval, the Finance Minister is set to present the bill in the National Assembly shortly.

During the cabinet meeting, members were briefed on the relief measures and taxes included in the budget.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the members, emphasizing the collective effort required to steer Pakistan out of its economic challenges and provide relief to the people.

"We have to work together to get Pakistan out of economic challenges and give relief to the people," the Prime Minister stated.

The Finance Minister highlighted efforts to minimize the burden on the poor, noting that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is actively working on reforms and increasing revenue.
