Punjab to shut down marriage halls in five major cities

The Punjab government has decided to shut down marriage and exhibition halls in five major cities of the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The government has decided to strictly enforce the coronavirus SOPs in Punjab’s five big cities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Gujrat.
Secretary Primary Health Captain Usman said this time the enforcement would be harsh as the number of Covid-19 infections are climbing up in the province.
The move followed after the federal government ordered closure of all schools for two weeks in Islamabad and seven major cities of Punjab.
Meanwhile, Cabinet Committee of the Punjab government has forwarded its recommendations calling for closure of markets at 6pm and two-day shutdown for the markets during the next weeks in the major districts.
The Punjab government has also ordered to wind up all the sports activities in the province.
After government’s directive, the skills camp of the national hockey team was shut down and the players were allowed to go to their homes.
