New timings for government schools in Ramazan notified

The School Education Department has announced new timings for government schools in Ramazan, according to a notification issued on Monday.

The notification stated that school would start at 8:30 am and end at 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. On Friday, schools will be closed at 12:30 pm.

For double-shift schools, the afternoon shift will start at 2:00 pm and will end at 5:00 pm.

The morning shift in double-shift schools will remain unchanged, starting at 8:30 am and ending at 12:30 pm.

The new timings will be effective from the first day of Ramazan and will continue till the last day of the holy month.
