BRT Redline project for Karachi to be completed in 2 years

The Sindh government will complete the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Redline project at a cost of Rs78 billion in two years to provide transport to the citizens of Karachi.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, hybrid buses will be run from the area of Numaish to Malir Halt for the citizens of the port city.

The Sindh government will complete the 26.6 km long project with 24 stations.

The Sindh government will also have the support of the Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Bank, Agency of French Development and Green Climate Fund in the construction of the project.

The BRT red line will be able to carry 350,000 passengers daily. The project will start with from Numaish at University Road, Meteorology, Safura Chowrangi and end at Malir Halt.
