Bilawal sees PPP win GB elections

November 12, 2020 07:12 PM

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari claimed that he could see the win of PPP in upcoming November 15 Gilgit Baltistan General Elections 2020, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also led a rally that was warmly welcomed by the people at Yadgar Chowk in Sakwar city.

“Even before the elections, the people announced their decision in favour of the PPP,” PPP chairman said to a charged crowd that was raising jiye Bhutto slogans.

“You people have forced the other political parties to come to Gilgit Baltistan. You know Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto fulfilled his promises with the people,” he said.

Bilawal requested GB voters to cast their votes in favour of PPP and against the conspiracy elements.

GB elections 2020 are scheduled to be held on November 15 on 33 constituencies.

“We will see on November 15 that whether the Gilgit Baltistan people will get their ownership rights or not on November 15,” Bilawal Bhutto said.

As Gallup Survey Pakistan, the closer analysis showed that PPP is ahead of PTI in 2 out of 3 divisions of GB (Diamer and Gilgit). However, PTI is ahead in Baltistan area. Given first past the post system of election in GB, this may go in favour of PPP who may win more seats than PTI.

However, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Khan Gandapur addressing a corner meeting in GB termed all the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders as traitors.

He said Imran Khan raised the voice of Kashmir at international forums.

“Nawaz Sharif is a billionaire on the basis of people’s money,” he added.
