Flood damages 80 percent red chili crop in Umarkot

The crop of red chilies—grown in Umarkot—has been damaged by more than 80 percent as a result of the monster monsoon rains and floods in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The monstrous monsoon and devastating floods wreaked one-third of the country.
According to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, red chilies exports are expected to decline significantly as a result of the shortage in red chillies production due to the more than 80 percent damage to red chillies crop.
Moreover, the quality of red chillies in Mirch Mandi Umarkot has significantly declined.
