A gas crisis has gripped Sindh as Sui Southern Gas (SSG) faces supply shortages, leading to low pressure in the line pack, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
In response to the challenge, SSG has made the critical decision to temporarily cease 24-hour gas supply to all Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations across the province.
Effective from 8:00 AM on Sunday, October 15, all CNG stations in Sindh will be closed for a 24-hour period. This emergency measure aims to alleviate the strain on the gas supply system and address the prevailing shortages. The decision comes as a proactive step by SSG to manage the crisis and ensure a more equitable distribution of gas resources.
Sui Southern Gas has assured the public that gas supply to CNG stations in Sindh will be reinstated on Monday, October 16, starting from 8:00 AM. The brief interruption in service is a necessary step to rectify the current gas supply challenges and maintain a balance in the distribution network.
