Cabinet approves hiring services of financial advisor consortium for PIA privatization

The Federal Cabinet approved hiring the services of a financial advisory consortium for the privatization of the only national airline, the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) on Wednesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the federal cabinet made this decision in its Wednesday meeting held in Islamabad under the chair of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar.
After the cabinet meeting, caretaker federal ministers Murtaza Solangi, Fawad Hasan Fawad and others held a press briefing and told the media about the approval for the consortium.
Federal Minister for Privatization Fawad Hasan Fawad told the journalists that the cabinet approved hiring the services of a financial advisory consortium for the privatization of PIA and the news about PIA not being privatized is not true
Talking about the deficit of the airline, Fawad Hasan Fawad said PIA is in a loss of 750 billion rupees and none of the PIA employees will be made unemployed.
