Famous television and film actress Sajal Aly has urged the authorities to take strict action against the culprits involved in motorway gang-rape.
Taking to Twitter, she criticised the government and wrote: “Why the system needs us to protest every time to take actions? Take a few minutes and think about the children who had to see their mother being gang-raped in front of their eyes. There should be an end to this. Magar kab? #shame #hangtherapist.”
With #EnoughisEnough trending on twitter, many celebrities have called for the public execution of the perpetrators.

However, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday took notice of the Lahore motorway rape case and the rape-and-murder of a 5-year-old girl in Karachi, urging authorities to take strict action against the culprits.
A tweet from the Prime Minister's Office said that PM Imran had taken "strict notice" of the incidents, stating that protection of women is the government's top priority and responsibility.
The prime minister has sought reports on the two incidents from the relevant IGs and urged the government to make existing laws effective to provide protection to women and children.
