Sania Mirza reunites with Shoaib Malik in Dubai after seven months

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza finally met her husband Shoaib Malik after a long wait of seven months as the duo reunited in Dubai. The lockdown and number of restrictions saw Sania being confined to her home in Indian Hyderabad. The Indian government hasn't lifted the ban on foreign flights due to the situation in the country. Those with special permission are only allowed to enter/leave the country.
Sania boarded the flight to Dubai with her son, Izhaan, and finally met Shoaib. The Pakistan all-rounder was in England for the T20I series against the hosts. He didn't travel back to Pakistan and stayed in UAE to meet his family. Malik also shared a video while playing with his son.

Back in June, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had given Malik some time off to meet his family but the restrictions mean that the cricketer couldn't leave Pakistan. “Unlike the rest of us, Shoaib Malik has not seen his immediate family for nearly five months due to his commitments and the subsequent international travel bans following the Covid-19 pandemic. As travel restrictions are now slowly easing out and there is an opportunity for a family reunion, it is appropriate that at a human level we show compassion as part of our duty of care and respect Shoaib's request," PCB had said back then.
Malik flew to England in the third week of August and stayed in isolation for nearly a week upon landing there. He played all three T20Is against the hosts.
Pakistan don't have any international series lined up and Malik is expected to stay in Dubai for a long period. In November, he will be seen leading Peshawar Zalmi in the Eliminator of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Talking of Sania, she made her return to the game earlier this year. She withdrew from US Open 2020 due to the COVID-19.
Amidst all this, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik’s son, Izhaan Mirza Malik was also distanced from his father. Now, after a long wait, he finally held his father and mother’s hands together.
