37-kg ice drug seized from female Khussas booked for Australia

An Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) team has seized 37 kilograms of ice drug from a parcel of female Khussas in Lahore booked for Australia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to details, after receiving credible intelligence report, Anti-Narcotics Force squad raided the office of a private courier company and seized a huge parcel containing 20 cartons of female khussas (Khussa is a traditional type of footwear in Pakistan that is made from vegetable-tanned leather by local artisans).
During detailed examination, the ANF team recovered 1 kilograms of ice which was tactfully hidden in each pair of khussa. ANF team recovered 37 kilograms of ice from 1,000 pairs of khussas.
The parcel was booked from Rawalpindi. Police is already conducing raids on different locations to arrest the main accused involved in narcotics smuggling.
A spokesman of Anti-Narcotics Force has said that smugglers are adopting different methods for smuggling of narcotics but ANF is determined to foil their smuggling attempts.
