Former President Asif Ali Zardari has said that ousted premier Imran Khan has a misconception to sweep in general elections with a two-thirds majority.
Seasoned politician Asif Ali Zardari while talking to senior journalist Hamid Mir on private television said it is very difficult to get a two-thirds majority for Imran Khan.
The Pakistan People’s Party-Parliamentarian (PPP-P) President said they are still trying to bring Chaudhry Parvez Elahi back into mainstream politics.
Zardari said Imran Khan has been lying from the beginning and had hired people internationally for his propaganda campaigns.
On the matter of joining the joint opposition’s government led by the Nawaz League’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the PPP leader said the party is still holding a consultation on it.
However, on the issue of making his son and Chairman of the PPP Bilawal Bhutto the Foreign Minister, he replied that it would depend on the Central Executive Council (CEC).
To a query, Zardari said that Imran Khan has the full support of the Britain based Goldsmith family (of Jamaima) as Zack Goldsmith has made a statement in favour of him while he was a minister.
