The skippers of Pakistan and New Zeeland teams have revealed the trophy for the five-match T20I series at the Gaddafi Stadium.
The captains of two teams told the media separately about their teams’ preparedness for the series – set to start tomorrow
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said he is excited to play international cricket in Lahore after a long time.
He added a lot of things have been worked on in the three-day camp.
“These matches are very important for the team’s preparedness for the upcoming events.
“We are getting ready for the World Cup and will come up with the best”
“We will try to perform better in all three areas in these matches. The chairman reposed trust in me and I will try my best to come up to the expectations”
“Youngsters Ehsanullah and Zaman Khan performed well in the PSL and Afghan series, he said, adding that with the entry of two young bowlers, bowling blitz will be better
New Zealand cricket team captain Tom Latham too expressed his determination to deliver the best.
He added: “We came to Pakistan before the series and got less time to practice but we will do our best.
“We played good cricket against Sri Lanka that built our confidence.
”There are good pitches in the PSL. Pakistan has good players and we will try to perform well against them.
We won the ODI series in Pakistan earlier and it will be an advantage.”
