PTI considers Hammad Azhar ‘favorite’ candidate for Lahore’s Lord Mayor

Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened a consultative meeting on Lahore’s local government elections, among others, the name of the Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar was also considered for the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for Lord Mayor of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and other senior leaders, while the briefing was given on the upcoming local body elections.
According to reports, the Prime Minister also invited Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar to attend the meeting. Sources said that Hammad Azhar could be the PTI candidate for the seat of Lord Mayor of Lahore.
It is relevant to mention that consultations on the system have been completed.
