A man committed suicide after killing his wife and four young children in Chakwal late Monday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Before shooting himself dead, the killer-father rang up police emergency call 15 and told the cops that he had murdered his wife and four children – two girls and two boys.

The girls were 16 years and 14 years old while the sons were 13 years and seven years old.

As per the police investigators, the shocking incident took place in Muzdalfa Town in the limits of Chakwal city police station.

Police said Shafqat Saleem alerted them on 15 and then put a bullet in his head. The cops so far failed to inform the media about what triggered the man to kill his whole family.

The police investigators collected evidence from the spot and shifted the bodies to a hospital for further medico-legal action.

Similar incidents have occurred previously although the motives behind them were different. In one such incident, a man committed suicide after killing his wife and son in Karachi over a domestic dispute. The incident occurred in the Qaddafi Town area of Landhi and the police said that the accused initially murdered his 40-year-old wife and 18-year-old son over a domestic dispute.
