FBR to purchase 1,010 new cars worth Rs3b for officers

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to purchase 1,010 new Honda City cars worth Rs3 billion for its officers for taking action against tax evaders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources said that these vehicle will be used for operations against persons involved in tax evasion.
These new Honda City cars will be provided to officials of Inland Revenue (IR) and Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) while process to hand over new cars to FBR officials will be completed by May 2025.
A state-of-the-art navigation and track system will be installed in these Honda City cars.
FBR officials will ensure complete implementation on Point of Sales (PoS) and Digital Invoicing process.
Any sectors will have to come under radar of FBR to avoid stern action. FBR will take adopt strict measures against tax-evaders, fake importers.
