In view of the presence of a large number of birds on the runway as well as in the surroundings of Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport during the monsoon season, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday issued a notification for stalling the flights’ operation at specific times during the next two months of the season, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the decision which will take effect from July 15, the runway will remain closed for flights between 5:00 and 8:00 in the morning.
The CAA has informed all national as well as international airlines of the decision, and asked them to change their flights’ schedule.
