Malala celebrates 26th birthday with ‘her’ Nigerian girl students

Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday.
She received heartfelt birthday wishes from her closed ones including her better half Asser Malik, her parents and from the ex-Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra.
Asser Malik took to Twitter and wished her a happy birthday by sharing a love-filled picture with Malala.
“Happy Birthday Malala. You don’t need any reminders of how amazing you are. But for what it’s worth you are the best partner I could have ever hoped for”, he penned.

Malala’s father, Ziauddin Yousafzai also wished his lovely daughter on social media by sharing two photos of Malala with himself and her mother.

She this time celebrated her 26th birthday in Nigeria with ‘HER’ Nigerian girl students and shared the pictures on Twitter.
“Today I’m in Nigeria celebrating my birthday with girls, a tradition I started 10 years ago”, she captioned.
She marked her big day as she spread awareness about their right to education. Malala also addressed the United Nations the same day.

“We should celebrate the girl who goes to university, takes a job, choose when and if she marries. But we should not deceive ourselves into thinking that we have made enough progress,” she said.
“I want to cheer for those who have made it, despite the challenges they faced. But my heart aches for those who we failed. Every young woman like me has friends we saw being left behind those whose governments, communities and families held them back.”
