Another hefty increase in the prices of petrol and diesel is on the cards from July 16 as Ogra forwarded its recommendations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, quoting source.

According to the proposals, a healthy hike of Rs7.67 per litre was recommended in the price of petrol while Rs3.72 raise in diesel rate was proposed.

If the recommendations got government’s nod, the new petrol price would be Rs273.28 per litre while diesel rate would climb up to Rs281.17.

There is also a possibility that the kerosene price will go up by Rs2.73 per litre to Rs184.25 and light diesel oil rate will go up by Rs0.92 to Rs166.65.
